Welcome to Organic Footprint Lawn and Garden Center. As owners of Organic Footprint my wife, Jackie, and myself, Rick Ross, are on a mission to bring awareness to the environmental need to incorporate organic materials and practices into our lawns and gardens. 

Our approach requires the very basic understanding that a plants growth and sustainability is affected through what the root, (the plants uptake source), can bring to the plant out of the soil. The quality of the soil will determine plant quality and health. If a soil is fed salts and petroleum distillates that are in most chemical lawn and garden fertilizers, the effect is poor plant health over time. The nutrients from organic fertilizers, which are 100% organic matter, help to establish a rich, dark, mycorrhizae active soil without the salts and biology-killing chemicals. This allows for deeper root growth for increased water and nutrient supply. The added benefit of deeper root growth is that it better protects the roots in times of summer heat and drought. In the case of lawns, a naturally thicker lawn produced following the organic fertilization program will require far less herbicides, insecticides, and watering. Cumulatively, this adds up to significantly lower yard maintenance costs.
